Once again, the Marin Sonoma Concours d’Elegance has exceeded all of our aspirations and expectations. In 2012, we welcomed more than 6000 spectators and treated them to an exclusive array of museum quality vintage automobiles elegantly displayed on the Concours Green. Our event attracted participants and spectators from across the country raising over $70,000 for local non-profits Hospice By the Bay and Boys and Girls Clubs of Marin and Southern Sonoma Counties.
This year we are excited to partner with Sonoma Raceway as they host the Sonoma Historic Motorsports Festival in conjunction with our event. This partnership expands the week’s list of auto-related events and parties, confirming Northern California as the place to be each May for vintage automobile enthusiasts of any age.
The themes of vintage Hollywood celebrity owned automobiles, modern avant-garde coachbuilders and Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary will be featured at Sunday’s Concours, captivating guests with elegant, eye-catching and sophisticated automobiles. Everyone’s favorite; we will feature a terrific display of vintage campers/trailers and a rare offering of vintage Italian motorcycles.
On Friday May 17, our elegant and popular Chairman’s Dinner & Auction will open Concours event weekend in the epitome of Hollywood glamour amongst the stars and vines of Sonoma County. Saturday May 18, the Marin Sonoma Concours Tour d’Elegance will thrill spectators and participants as it winds through the scenic back roads of Marin and Sonoma counties ending with a victory lap around Sonoma Raceway’s world-renowned track. Each day of our three-day event is anticipated to be excitedly received by vintage automobile enthusiasts across the country.
